Squenix has revealed their 25th anniversary logo for Final Fantasy! That’s right, the first game premiered on the Famicom on December 18, 1987. Reportedly, the upcoming Theatrhythm Final Fantasy for the 3DS will be the first game to sport this emblem.

Life has been good to Mog since he was in a hit game

As fans are already taking note of, this logo features art work of Mog, pretty much as he appears in original art from Yoshitaka Amano.

The classiest Moogle around!

Does this hint at a possible Final Fantasy VI redux coming this year? Personally, I’m not going to read too much into this right now. On the other hand, Squenix has said before that they’ll consider an FF6 redux on the 3DS, assuming the system does well. I guess it’s possible. We’ll just have to see!
